Kasa Trekking & Safaris is a fully licensed and registered tour company operating in the United Republic of Tanzania. We have been in operation since 2022 although plans to open this company were formulated a few years prior, but were interrupted by COVID travel restrictions. The company is founded by Mr Said Athumani Dhahabu who has had extensive experience as a Mt Kilimanjaro guide before deciding to open Kasa Trekking & Safaris. His passion of customer service is evident in the care of every detail, protecting our clients' experience and valued holiday time and investment. Because we are locally owned we are not the most expensive tour operator. But because quality and safety are our top priorities, we are not the least expensive either. We will never compromise neither quality nor safety in order to offer a lower price but strive to offer the best value tours. Booking Details
All prices quoted are in USD per person. For lodge/tented camp safaris the prices given are representative. Actual price will vary according to which accommodations are chosen, time of year, among other variables. When you contact us with specifics for your trip we can give an accurate price quote. We accept payments by direct bank wire transfers only - either bank to bank or through services such as World Remit. PayPal has only partial services in East Africa so we cannot accept PayPal. A deposit it required before we can start reserving your dates and make flight/accommodation reservations. For lodge/tented camp safaris, any itinerary where we make flight reservations, and for Zanzibar accommodations a deposit of 50% of the total trip price is requested. For mountain treks and camping safaris we require a deposit of $200/person. The balance is not due until arrival. We accept cash (USD, Euro, Pound Sterling, Tanzanian Shillings). If you wish to pay the balance by wire transfer, this should be done with enough time before your arrival to be sure that the transfer is successful.
In the event of a trip postponement we will apply 100% of the recoverable amount for your future use. By recoverable amount, we mean that some money may be forfeited to third parties such as hotels and airlines due to their policies. Any amount not forfeited will be available for your future use.
In the event of cancellation, if only a partial number in your group cancel, any recoverable amount may be applied toward payment of the remaining group. Be aware that a partial cancellation may affect the price of the remaining participants. As an example, the price of Machame Trek 7 days is $2000/person for a group size of 4+. If due to cancellations, the group size becomes smaller than 4 then the price of $2250/person (the price for 2 - 3 participants) or $2500 (1 person trek) would be in effect. If cancellation is made by an entire group, the recoverable amount less wire transfer fees and less $100/person will be refunded.
